The Barcode Editor tool allows you to add new UPCs / EANs or remove existing ones from a product SKU. You can use this tool to associate multiple UPCs to a single SKU, remove UPCs that have been entered incorrectly, or re-associate UPCs to other SKUs.
Not every barcode requires 'type' for it it be scannable. This tool allows any barcode to be mapped to any product and be searchable by scan in every tool that a product can be searched in.
The barcode tool automatically detects certain rules that apply to specific barcode types. For example, all UPCs contain 12 numerical digits, all EANs contain 13, when that is detected the type will be updated automatically.
