You may accept payments for POS orders via credit card, cash, or split payment.
Accept Credit Card for the Entire Order
If the customer would like to pay for the order in full with a credit card:
- Swipe the card through the credit card reader on the back of the scanner attachment.
- Press the [Finalize] button in the bottom-right corner.
- Ask the customer to enter their signature using the touchscreen. Press the [Done] button.
- Provide the customer with the receipt by emailing it or printing it out. Alternatively, the customer may choose not to receive a receipt.
If the credit card reader cannot read the card, you must enter the card info manually. Look to the “Accept Manual Card Payments or Split Payments” section below for more instruction.
Enter Credit Card Manually
If you are experiencing issues with the card reader, you may need to enter the credit card information manually.
- Press the [Alt Payment] button on the bottom-left corner.
- Press the [Manual Card/Split] button.
- Enter the credit card information. Press the [Confirm] button.
- Press the [Finalize] button in the bottom-right corner.
- Ask the customer to enter their signature using the touchscreen. Press the [Done] button.
- Provide the customer with the receipt by emailing it or printing it out. Alternatively, the customer may choose not to receive a receipt.
Accept Credit Card for Partial Payment
To apply partial payment using a credit card, you simply need to enter the card information manually and change the Amount to be charged.
- Press the [Alt Payment] button on the bottom-left corner.
- Press the [Manual Card/Split] button.
- Enter the credit card information.
- Change the Amount to the desired charge. Press the [Confirm] button.
To settle the remaining balance, you may swipe a second card or enter it manually (above). You may also accept cash (below). Refer to the appropriate section to finalize this transaction. Note that the customer will be prompted to provide a signature to authorize any cards used.
Accept Cash
- Press the [Alt Payment] button on the bottom-left corner.
- Press the [Cash] button.
- Enter the cash amount. Press the [Confirm] button.
- If needed, give change to the customer. Press the [OK] button.
- Press the [Finalize] button in the bottom-right corner.
- Provide the customer with the receipt by emailing it or printing it out. Alternatively, the customer may choose not to receive a receipt.
