In the Quick Receive tool, I'm getting a fatal error asking for the weight of the lot. What does it mean and what can I do to fix it?

We tried to use the Quick Receive tool and hit a problem. Here are the steps we took:

1. Opened the Quick Receive tool.
2. Manually entered the PO.
3. Scanned the item.
4. Entered the quantity to receive.
5. Scanned the bin location to receive to, and got a fatal error asking for the weight of the lot.

What does this error mean and how do we fix it?

Answer

One of the benefits of the RetailOps Quick Receive tool is that you do not need to weigh each unit as you receive it, RetailOps will automatically use the weight of the most recently received lot for that SKU. If the most recently received SKU does NOT have a weight, you will receive the above error. To fix this, weigh your item, and set the weight of the most recently received lot by using the "Inv Lots" button in the bottom toolbar of the PIM.
