The Fraud Factor tool allows users to set up specific instances in which orders will be placed on hold automatically due to potential fraudulent activity.
To use the tool you can locate the Left-Hand navigation > System Config > Fraud Factors
You will start by clicking the "add" button at the bottom of the tool which will bring a line up that can have values entered into it. Initially the line will allow a user to prescribe a Risk Factor, this risk factor then receives a Value (descriptor) and a Point Value (Level of Risk).
The Point Value is how orders actually get flagged and put on hold. The system will use this as a scoring sheet and when an order has amassed a total of 100 points of risk, the order is put on hold.
Example
The image below has two Fraud Factors, Order Value and Channel Name each with 50 points of value. If an order were to come in with a price value of 600 dollars, it would amass 50 points of risk, but would be cleared to be processed as normal. However, if the order came in with a price value of 600 dollars AND it came in through the Shopify Channel, it would have a point value of 100 and be placed on hold for fraud review.
