Inventory count Improvements
We are back round to the time of year when we start to focus on inventory counts again and have been discussing the limitations in the tool as it stands today and the possible ways to improve it.
I would be interested to hear other peoples thoughts on the proposals or any other workarounds you have developed.
- Once containers have been added to an audit you are unable to delete them. It would be useful to be able to edit this, but clearly only prior to the audit being opened.
- It would be useful and save time if standard audit groups could be set up on a spread sheet so they could be inserted as a whole instead of retyping each time. In addition it would be handy if the creation of new audits could also be created and edited in a separate section and then slotted into the appropriate area within the "inventory count" system.
- A facility to make specific groups invisible, for example completed/ historic audits, would make searching much quicker and easier.
- AND/ OR have a "search" facility to find audits from the list to save scrolling through them.
- Have a filing/ archive system to store completed/ historic audit results.
- When starting a new count you have to set "created" to sort ascending so that the typing bar is at the top. If you then want to check your last input you have to either scroll to the bottom or change to sort descending. It would be better if the new count bar was a stand alone section that stays at the top and the default for "created" was set at count descending.
- If you miss an audit say from a line of racking, you currently add a new count but this is tagged on at the end. This would be better if you could insert a count as you can with a row on a spread sheet, so that the count is in the appropriate more relevant place.

I agree with all of your comments on improving the workflow in the Inventory Count Tool. We have been through our 3rd Count and your point on not having the ability to hide/archive previous counts is spot on. It creates unnecessary steps to work with your active counts. Having the ability to upload standard audit groups would save a fair amount of time.
- It would be helpful if the Reports readily identified counts that don't match. When there are several Lots within a Container it takes time to decipher the problem.
