Issue Store Credit
Store credit can be issued in the Customer Service tool, or through the Returns process.

Issue Store Credit through the Returns Tool

Navigate to Warehouse > Order Returns.

Search for the order you want to process. Open the order.

Find the items being returned. Click under the Qty column to enter the count of items returned.

Check the data under Reason, Restock, Refund, Ship, Ship (the 2nd column), and Fee.

You may enter instructions or notes about the return.

Toggle the [Refund/Store Credit] button.

[Refund]. The amount will be issued back to the customer’s method of payment.

[Store Credit]. The amount will be refunded in the form of Store Credit.

Press the [Process Return] button. When the return is processed, the Store Credit will be added to the Customer record.

Print Store Credit Receipt
Beginning in RetailOps version 2.6, you can provide your customers with a printed receipt which indicates their present store credit balance. Please note: Your terminal must be mapped to a POS receipt printer.
Use Store Credit
RetailOps Store Credit can be applied in the Customer Service tool, or Point of Sale tool.
To use Store Credit as payment in the Customer Service tool:
- Open the desired order in the Customer Service tool, or create a new order from the Customer record by selecting [New Phone Order].
- Add the desired items to the order.
- If the customer has available store credit, you will see it displayed next to the payment details in the bottom right.
- To use the available store credit, select [Apply Store Credit]. At this time, the store credit will be deducted from the customer's store credit balance.
Be sure to fulfill or cancel the order once Store Credit has been applied. Orders in an "Incomplete", "Hold" or "Processing" status will continue to hold store credit from the customer's account.
To use Store Credit as payment in the Point of Sale tool:

In the Point of Sale tool, add all desired order items to the order.

Select [Select a Customer] in the bottom left corner of the screen.

When you are ready to complete the transaction, select [Pay] at the bottom of the screen.

From your Payment Options, Select [Store Credit] to apply the customer's existing store credit to the order.

If there is a remaining balance once store credit has been applied, collect the balance before proceeding.

Once all monies due have been collected, select [Submit].

Select your receipt option to complete the order.
Be sure to fulfill or cancel the order once Store Credit has been applied. Orders in an "Incomplete", "Hold" or "Processing" status will continue to hold store credit from the customer's account.
Report on Store Credit
Current Balance
The reporting tool allows you to quickly see all customer's current Store Credit balance.
- Navigate to Administration > Reporting.
- Select [New Report] in the upper right side of the screen.
- From the "Data Sources" menu, select Store Credit Transactions. Select the green plus to add this to your report.
- From the "Fields" menu on the righthand side, select the following fields to add to your report. Click and drag the fields into your "Aggregated Fields".
- Customer.ID
- Customer.Name
- Customer.Store Credit
- Save your report by adding a report name, and selecting [Save As]
Store Credit Transactions
To see use of Store Credit, you'll need to use the "Payment Transactions" or "Store Credit Transactions" datasource in the Reporting Tool. For this basic report, we're going to show all orders, including those paid for with Store Credit.
- Navigate to Administration > Reporting.
- Select [New Report] in the upper right side of the screen.
- From the "Data Sources" menu, select Payment Transactions. Select the green plus to add this to your report.
- From the "Fields" menu on the righthand side, select the following fields to add to your report. Click and drag the fields into your "Aggregated Fields".
- Order.ID
- Amount
- Payment Processor
- Order.Type
- Save your report by adding a report name, and selecting [Save As].
*To filter your report to ONLY show orders which have been paid for with Store Credit, use the following filter in the "Filter Expression" field: Payment Processor = "Store Credit"
