Scan Packing Slip On Order Return Search
The first step in processing order returns is to search for and locate the correct order. Most of our customers return the goods with the packing slip that we sent to them. This packing slip contains the shipment ID barcode that is scanned during audit and packing.
Currently scanning this barcode in the order returns search screen returns no results, and you are required to manually type the order number etc to locate the customer.
The shipment ID can only ever correspond to a single order ( AFAIK? ) so there is no logical reason we cannot use this field.
Being able to scan the barcode would make the returns process quicker and less error prone.

Yes! I could take this one step further and suggest that part of the RMA creation process would include sending a custom "packing slip" to the customer with a barcode on it for inclusion in the package.
Anyone that has returned an order to Amazon is familiar with this process.
I also have an FSA that I submitted to make filtering the Order Returns screen based on RMA number more effective. Right now if you enter the RMA in the search field you get a lot of orders, but that one should bubble to the top.
