Reporting: Permissions Based Access

I would like to see an expansion of the user roles based permissions within the reporting tool. Currently we can add or remove access to the tool, but that grants a user access to the ENTIRE reporting module, with all of the reports that are written, as well as the ability to access any data source or write a new report.

For example, I would love to be able to allow our warehouse manager to see KPIs related to his team and how many items they are shipping a day, but I do not necessarily then want him to be able to see the overall profitability of the company.

Dashboard widgets in v2 (as long as they are user role based) probably solves a lot of this, but I still think this would be a functional enhancement.

  Hi Jason,

  I've filed this feature request with Engineering to expand user access controls for the Reporting tool. I'll update the request as more input comes through on this post.
