    Just re-reading this after your comment in the other thread Colin. That's interesting that the Shopify give message is output on your packing slip, but isn't visible as an attribute on the order to edit it. I wonder what cart other users are utilizing.

    We're on Magento Enterprise, and admittedly, I haven't tested to see if gift messaging comes through from the cart. Let me test that and I'll post back.

    Hi all, 

     

    We are on Shopify and experience the same issue that Colin describe. Gift message comes through on the packing slip, but is not visible in the UI. 

     

    The bigger issue for us now is that we cannot add gift messages to orders placed over the phone or in person (through the POS tool). 

     

    Anyone else out there using the POS tool that has found a workaround?

    Do you guys place phone orders directly into RetailOps? How do you send the customer an order confirmation email or shipping confirmation (see alternate Feature Request for Transactional Emails).

    You could place those orders directly in Shopify, which would solve the above issues and also give you the ability to apply a Gift Message.

    Doesn't solve the POS issue, but maybe you need to start selling cards in store as well so you can cross-sell into that to raise AOV? ;)
